Nitrate Removal Water Filter Cartridge

SKU: CQE-RC-04007

Water travels through a Nitrate-selective media. Nitrate reduction is 90% to 95% and breakthrough is not affected by sulfate levels. The capacity is 3000 ppm (parts per million) of nitrates as CaCO3. To determine capacity, first, calculate the ppm of nitrates as CaCO3, then divide that number into 3000 to get the gallons. This cartridge can be regenerated using a sodium chloride brine.*

Important Note: The nitrate cartridge in this system requires manual salinity regeneration. The regeneration process should be done every 20 to 30 days depending on level of nitrate. The media must be recharged in order to maintain optimum performance. If the media is not regenerated, then the media will exhaust and result in a permeate of 0. The cycle of regeneration will vary based on the influent level of nitrate.

The process of regeneration involves dissolving salt in water (2-3 cups of salt for every 3-4 cups of water) stir well and soak (you may want to use something to hold the cartridge down) the cartridge for 1-2 hours, then soak the cartridge in tap water for an additional 1-2 hours, rinse with the tap running tap water and reinstall the cartridge. Regeneration is not required before its first use even if the cartridge has been unopened for a period of time.

SMART Water Filter Cartridge

SKU: CQE-RC-04002

Water flows through a bed of media made of a special high-purity alloy blend of two dissimilar metals - copper and zinc (ERA-6500, ERA-9500). ERA-6500 and ERA-9500 are major advancements in water treatment technology that works on the electrochemical and spontaneous-oxidation-reduction (Eagle Redox Alloy®) principles. Chlorine is instantaneously and almost inexhaustibly oxidized.

Carbon Block Water Filter Cartridge

SKU: CQE-RC-04000

Water travels through a 5-micron solid carbon cartridge for removing volatile organic carbon compounds (VOCs), insecticides, pesticides, and industrial solvents and traps particles larger than 5 microns including sediment, silt, sand, and dirt.

Leak Detector Smart Valve (for Under Sink and Water Coolers)

SKU: CQE-PT-03060

(Recommended Add-On)

This Leak Detector Smart Valve is used to detect a water leak within a water cooler and shuts down the water supply in order to prevent flooding. The sensor is mounted inside the cartridge area of the cooler. If it detects wetness from a leak, it shuts down the water supply at the control box.

The Leak Detector Valve is a valuable tool in helping to prevent damage that can occur in the event that a leak occurs within the water cooler.

Nitrate Under Sink Water Filter System Benefits

The Nitrate Under Sink Water Filter System reduces or removes contaminants such as Nitrate, chlorine & heavy metals from tap water to offer the freshest taste to you.

The perfect solution for any household. It is quick and easy to install and use, attractive, convenient, and effectively removes many contaminants from water while increasing alkalinity & oxygenation.

This solid-state water filter uses the latest technologies that blend the adsorption capabilities of coconut shell activated carbon with Eagle Redox Alloy® and more.

When considering installation, if current under sink plumbing is hard copper tubing the saddle valve would be used; for flex tubing, the T-valve would be required.

While ordering a prompt will require that an installation valve is specified in order to progress through the order entry screen.

ERA-6500 and ERA-9500 are major advancements in water treatment technology that works on the electrochemical and spontaneous-oxidation-reduction (Eagle Redox Alloy®) principles. Water flows through ion exchange resins, reducing heavy metals such as lead, copper, aluminum, and water hardness.

Water flows through granulated activated carbon (GAC). GAC is universally recognized and widely used as an effective adsorbent for a wide variety of organic contaminants, such as chlorine, chemicals linked to cancer (THM's, benzene) pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, volatile organic compounds (VOC's), PCB's, MTBE's and hundreds of other chemical contaminants that may be present in water causing bad taste and odors in your drinking water.

All Crystal Quest® GAC is a mixed blend of coconut shell and catalytic GAC to address both chlorine, chloramines, and these byproducts.

Leak Detector/Flood-Prevention Valve (Recommended)

SKU: CQE-PT-03064

Due to numerous unpredictable circumstances including installation errors, flood damage is subject to occur without a leak-detector valve. Our recommended leak detector/flood-prevention valve will allow the water system to be flood-proof.
