While each ionizer comes with an onboard carbon filter, no ionizer addresses all contaminants that may be found in your tap water, hence the need for a quality prefilter. We don't recommend purchasing a water ionizer without a pre-filter because any contaminants that make their way into your tap water will be driven deeper into your cells. This package has you covered--your water will be properly filtered before entering the water ionizer, resulting in fresh, clean, ionized alkaline drinking water. Unlike Reverse Osmosis (R/O) filters, our C3 Pre-Filter uses a direct filtering process to produce healthy drinking water that still contains alkaline minerals, and does not waste gallons of water at a time.

Strong pH Water: The Chanson VS-70 can make alkaline water as strong as 11.7 pH and acid water as strong as a 2.4 pH at full water flow without adding chemicals or salts to the water, unlike competitors' machines. Stronger pH waters can be created by reducing water flow through the ionizer. Chanson acid water, when made at 2.7 pH has been lab verified to kill E-coli and Staph bacteria in under five seconds!
pH Consistency: Chanson water ionizers adjust the electrolysis amperage automatically to keep alkaline levels consistent.
Remaining Filter Life: The remaining water filter life will be auto-adjusted according to your water quality. The LCD screen displays the remaining filter life, reminding you to change your filter when necessary.
Self-Clean Function: The Chanson VS-70 will automatically set its cleaning cycles based on the mineral content of your water. Cleaning always occurs after you turn the machine off, this allows the machine to perform maintenance without ever interrupting your water usage. The VS-70 will automatically go into a flushing cycle each time you turn on your ionizer. This is a wonderful feature for an under sink ionizer because it allows any standing water in the line to be flushed out before you drink.
Auto-Adjust Function: Chanson Water Ionizers can be fine tuned for YOUR source water quality! Water supply can vary greatly from state to state and county to county. Because of this difference in source water, an ionizer at the same electrolysis settings will produce different pH levels, a filter in a different water quality condition will have different filter life, and the self-clean function in different water quality conditions will have different frequencies of self-cleaning cycles. Chanson water ionizer can auto-adjust "the remaining water filter life" and "time of self-clean" according to your water quality. You will have your own personalized water ionizer settings!
Auto Shut-off Function: Chanson Ionizers have an auto shut off at 20 minutes to prevent flooding in case left on by accident. The machine can be turned right back on if need be.
